In these terms, “I”, “me” and “my” mean The Purple Fig, run by Kamakhya. “You” means anyone who visits this website, buys from the shop or joins the mail club. By using this website, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you order.

1. General use

The content on this website, including prices, descriptions and availability, may be updated or removed at any time without notice. I take care to keep it accurate, but I can’t promise that everything is complete or free of errors. If I find a mistake in a price or description after you’ve ordered, I’ll contact you before going ahead.

2. Products
Art prints are printed copies of my original paintings and illustrations.
Original paintings are one-of-a-kind and sold unframed or framed as described on each listing.
Mail club boxes contain a selection of handmade and printed pieces, which can vary from edition to edition.
Colours may look slightly different on your screen from the printed or painted piece due to screen settings, lighting during photography, and variations in printing. Handmade pieces may also have little differences from the photos, making each one uniquely its own. ♡
 

3. Orders and payments

  • All prices are in Indian rupees (INR).

  • Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. I never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.

  • An order is confirmed once payment is received and you’ve received a confirmation email.

  • I can’t be held responsible for payments declined by your bank or payment provider, including when you exceed your card or account limit.

  • Please check your delivery address before paying. I ship within India only.

 

4. The mail club

  • Each edition has an enrollment window, shown on the product page. Orders placed within the window go into the same batch.

  • Boxes are made after enrollment closes, so each box is made for the people who joined.

  • Packages of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months are paid once, upfront, and include one box per month for the length of the package. (They don’t renew automatically.)

  • Contents may change between editions, and I may substitute a piece for something similar if needed.

  • Packages can’t be cancelled or refunded once the enrollment window has closed. If your plans change before then, write to me and I’ll sort it out.

 

5. Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery is covered in my Shipping & Delivery Policy, and returns and refunds are covered in my Return & Refund Policy. Both are part of these terms. In short, I don’t accept returns on prints, originals or mail club boxes, but if something arrives damaged or goes missing, write to me and I’ll make it right.

6. Intellectual property

All artwork, designs, photographs, text, logos and other material on this website and in the mail club belong to me, Kamakhya, unless stated otherwise. When you buy a print, painting or box, you own that physical item, but not the copyright in the artwork.

You may enjoy it, display it, gift it and share photos of it online with credit to @musevenings (on Instagram). You may not copy, reproduce, sell, print, edit or distribute my artwork or other material for commercial use, or use it to train AI tools, without my written permission.

7. External links

This website may link to other websites, such as Instagram or my payment provider. I don’t control them and I’m not responsible for their content or practices. Please don’t link to this site in a way that suggests I endorse you without asking first.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or my products. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Indian consumer law.

 

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

10. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
